Ever wonder how many miles you walked during a workout? While some people use iPhone apps (check back for app recommendations) to track mileage, there is a FREE way to determine your walking distance.
Gmap-Pedometer.com is a free website that allows visitors to draw their walking course on a Google map.
By double-clicking the starting point and turns, the website draw the lines of your route following the curves of the streets. Mile markers are even placed directly on the route.
Once draw, you can save the route or print it out.
What a great tool to help you find new walking routes that meet your desired distance. Maybe print out your favorite walking route and bring it to a ShadowChase workout to share with the walking group?
